This week, we will be working on our counting on strategies to solve part-part-whole math problems. At home, have your kiddo create their own addition problems and have them draw a number bond to match.
SLA: We are very excited to learn about maps of different places. This week we will focus on maps of our city. We will read fiction and informational texts and discuss what different cities look like. We will also write to answer the question: What does a map of my city look like? At home, please continue practicing the names and sounds of the letters in Spanish and writing the first and last name. Read for 20 minutes and ask your child questions about the reading.
ELA: Great job persevering through our iReady Reading test! This week we will be continuing our Unit 1 on Maps. Our focus question for this week is "How can I use the map of my city to get around?". Discuss what city we live in and certain landmarks you see around your city. We will be using vocabulary words such as: Compass rose, Quadrants, Near, Far, Rivers, Transportation, Borders.
