This week in literacy, students will be learning about animal life cycles in both Spanish and English. They will explore how animals grow and change, draw and label life cycle diagrams, and use transition words to describe each stage. In English, students will discuss vocabulary such as life cycle and sequential words like first, next, then, and last. In Spanish word study, they will work with syllables that contain c and q, reading and writing words to practice using them. Please continue talking with your child about the animal they are researching and make time for 20 minutes of daily reading.

Esta semana en lectoescritura, los estudiantes aprenderán sobre los ciclos de vida de los animales tanto en español como en inglés. Explorarán cómo los animales crecen y cambian, dibujarán y rotularán diagramas del ciclo de vida y usarán palabras de secuencia para describir cada etapa.
