Math News Noticias de Matemáticas

This week, we will be finishing up our End-of-Module math project. Students have been working hard to collect, organize and compare their class data to present it to you on Wednesday December 3rd! Save the date! Then, students will be taking an assessment to finalize Module 2 and prepare for Module 3. At home, continue to practice counting on from a number to add and counting backward to subtract.

Esta semana, terminaremos nuestro proyecto de matematicas de fin de modulo. Los estudiantes se han esforzado mucho para recopilar, organizar y comparar sus datos para presentarselos el miercoles 3 de diciembre. ¡Reserven la fecha! Realizaran una evaluacion para finalizar el Modulo 2 y prepararse para el Modulo 3. En casa, sigan practicando contar hacia adelante a partir de un numero para sumar y contar hacia atras para restar.

Literacy News Noticias de Lectura y Escritura

This week in literacy, students will continue learning about endangered animals while focusing on the actions people can take to protect them. They will also explore why certain animals become endangered, discussing vocabulary such as poachers, habitat loss, climate change, and pollution.

In Spanish, students will practice reading and writing words with the letter j and use them in meaningful sentences. We will also complete our end-of-unit writing test. At home, please support your child by practicing words like jirafa, jaguar, jugo, jamon, jabon, and juguetes, and by reading for 20 minutes a day in English and Spanish while talking about what you read.
