Thank you to all the families who joined us for our APTT last week! This week we will be taking the i-Ready Math assessment. At home, we encourage you to try some of the activities presented at our APTT meeting with your children. If you were unable to attend the APTT, keep an eye out for resources being sent home in backpacks and on ParentSquare.

This week in literacy, students have completed their i-Ready assessments in Spanish and English, which measure reading comprehension and vocabulary—congratulations to our students for their hard work! We will continue reading a new family story in Spanish, focusing on identifying and describing different settings in the text, and we will also keep working on mCLASS assessments to support reading fluency. In English, we will continue exploring Small Moments, or zoomed-in parts of a narrative, and begin using the five senses—smell, taste, touch, sight, and hearing—to help strengthen our storytelling. Please continue discussing narratives and small moments at home as students begin sharing their own stories.
